Key Points

  • The deal is worth nearly $526 million in total.

  • This brings the company's total contract value up to more than $2.6 billion.

Artificial intelligence (AI) cloud company Boost Run (NASDAQ: BRUN) had quite the run on its stock Tuesday. This followed news from the company that it signed a new contract to provide its services under a long-term deal that will see it earn hundreds of millions of dollars. With that considerable tailwind behind it, Boost Run's shares rose by almost 6% that trading session.

More than half a billion at stake

Before market open, Boost Run announced it had inked a five-year deal with what it described as "a leading sovereign AI company" that it did not identify. The total contract value (TCV) of the arrangement is $525.6 million, quite a handsome sum given that the company's most recent quarterly revenue was barely over $31 million.

Boost Run said the acceptance of the initial infrastructure should begin early in the second quarter of 2027. The company will utilize Nvidia GPUs to deliver the contracted AI compute.

Much of Boost Run's contracted revenue will be accumulated in the future; with this deal, the company's total TCV now tops $2.6 billion.

The company quoted founder and CEO Andrew Karos as saying that its ability to deliver "systems to leading AI companies demonstrates the strength and diversification of both our customer base and our GPU fleet."

Worth the spend?

Of course, one contract does not a high-potential stock make; also, this one stipulates that the client retains termination and refund rights if Boost Run fails to deliver and obtain acceptance for the minimum infrastructure.

Still, it's clear that the company has a suite of services compelling enough for deep-pocketed tech companies to part with billions of dollars to secure them. This is definitely an up-and-coming stock to watch in the Great AI Build-Out, in my opinion.
