15 trillion giant rejects Ripple ETF: bearish due to lack of demand

According to Woofun AI, although seven Ripple spot ETFs are already being traded on the market, financial giant BLK.US (BLK.US), with assets of up to 15 trillion US dollars, has never submitted a relevant application to the US Securities and Exchange Commission. This lack of status has raised questions about the market's strategic intentions.

Currently, the total assets under management of these seven Ripple spot ETFs are US$1.77 billion. Well-known companies such as Franklin Templeton (BEN.US), Grayscale, 21Shares, and Bitwise have all participated in product development, showing some market demand.

However, BlackRock ignored this. According to the company, the primary standard for launching a new fund is to meet customer needs, and at present, there is not enough customer demand to support the launch of a new Ripple spot ETF. Data compiled by Woofun AI shows that behind this decision is a careful assessment of capital inflow expectations.

Although $1.77 billion sounds like a significant figure, it is insignificant compared to BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF, iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT.US). The latter has assets under management of $67 billion and a fee ratio of 0.25%. Today's increase was 1.74%. The current price is $0.83 and the stock price is $48.56. iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA.US) also has assets under management of $10 billion, which also far exceeds the total assets of the seven Ripple ETFs. Just two years ago, before the Ripple Spot ETF was launched, analysts expected up to $8 billion to flow into the Ripple market, while actually attracting only $1.77 billion. This figure is only a fraction of the forecast, indicating that analysts have overestimated investors' demand for Ripple. The current transaction price of Ripple is $1.50. Today's increase is -0.62%, and the change range is $1.49 to $1.52. The price range for the past two weeks is $0.99 to $3.05, and the trading volume is 1.5 billion shares.

Unless there is a massive influx of new money, it's hard to see a sharp rise in Ripple's price. Judging from the information BlackRock revealed about customer demand for Ripple, this is unlikely to happen in the short term. Because of this, I won't be buying Ripple right now. Although its market capitalization is large enough to merit further attention, the current demand is insufficient. I will continue to look for other better investment opportunities before BlackRock starts buying Ripple for customers.
