The heads of the two major oil producers in the Middle East warned that the rest of the world needs to share the costs brought about by the Iran war and the resulting infrastructure investment requirements. As a result of this conflict, oil pipelines, refineries, natural gas facilities, and dozens of oil tankers have been damaged on a large scale, and the cost of additional investment has reached tens of billions of dollars. Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser and Kuwait Oil Company head Sheikh Nouaf Saba said at an energy intelligence forum on Monday that the two countries are planning to expand export channels and overseas oil storage facilities. The head of the Kuwait Petroleum Company said that if European countries want to obtain fuel such as diesel and aviation kerosene produced in Kuwait, they must invest in the construction of supporting storage infrastructure. Nasser said, “No country should bear all this alone. Oil and gas infrastructure is not an expense that needs to be reduced or avoided; it is a common necessity for producers and consumers.”
