The Zhitong Finance App learned that BOC International released a research report saying that the US interest rate hike cycle is not expected to end, but the pace may be adjusted, and the Federal Reserve may suspend interest rate hikes in October. The report mentioned that before the September employment data was released, the interest rate futures market showed that the probability of interest rate hikes in October was less than 30%, and the December rate hike was the benchmark situation; after the data was released, the probability of an interest rate hike in October fell further to only about 20%. Although the US non-agricultural data for September was weak, it was not enough for the Federal Reserve to end the interest rate hike cycle. The bank believes that it is likely that the Federal Reserve will continue to wait for more data, especially after the inflation data is released before making a decision, and maintains its previous view that the Fed may raise interest rates once more during the year. The interest rate hike is likely to be in December.
