The Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will meet at 9 a.m. from October 7 to 9 in the Conference Hall of the Legislative Council Complex. At the meeting, members of parliament will jointly debate the “First Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region” bill and the “Chief Executive's 2026 Policy Address” bill. The government bill on the “Hong Kong First Five-Year Plan” will be proposed by the Chief Secretary for Administration; Chan Chun-ying will put forward the “Thanks Bill”. The content of the bill reads: “We would like to thank the Chief Executive for publishing the Policy Address.” Members will also ask the Government 22 questions on different policy areas, all of which require written responses from the Government.
