Insiders who purchased European Green Transition plc (LON:EGT) shares in the past 12 months are unlikely to be deeply impacted by the stock's 12% decline over the past week. Reason being, despite the recent loss, insiders original purchase value of UK£61.1k is now worth UK£68.2k.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

European Green Transition Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The Independent Non-Executive Director Michael Kearney made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for UK£51k worth of shares at a price of UK£0.10 each. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at around the current price of UK£0.12. Of course they may have changed their mind. But this suggests they are optimistic. We do always like to see insider buying, but it is worth noting if those purchases were made at well below today's share price, as the discount to value may have narrowed with the rising price. In this case we're pleased to report that the insider purchases were made at close to current prices.
