The Zhitong Finance App learned that, according to people familiar with the matter, Anthropic PBC is scheduled to meet with potential investors on October 14 local time to prepare for its initial public offering (IPO). Even in the face of scrutiny surrounding artificial intelligence security, the company is still advancing a potential heavyweight listing plan.

People familiar with the matter said that invitations for this event have just been sent out recently. At that time, a select group of institutional investors will have the opportunity to ask questions to company executives. One of the sources said the event will take place at the company's headquarters in San Francisco.

This schedule will allow the Claude developer to hopefully launch in November. According to previous reports, Anthropic is likely to begin an official promotion for the IPO as early as the week of November 9, so trading is expected to begin before Thanksgiving.

People familiar with the matter warned that the details of the IPO may still change, and they requested anonymity because the relevant information has not yet been disclosed. An Anthropic spokesperson declined to comment.

Although Anthropic's Claude doesn't have the same brand recognition as its competitor ChatGPT under OpenAI, its strong adoption among software developers and other enterprise users is expected to bring about the steady revenue growth that many professional investors are looking for. Banks, hedge funds, and enterprise software providers such as CRM.US have all partnered with Anthropic to integrate their tools into their workflows.

OpenAI, on the other hand, has delayed its IPO plans in the face of increased sales momentum in recent months. According to a previous report by Bloomberg News, the company is seeking to raise at least $30 billion from investors in a new round of financing, with a valuation of around $1.4 trillion.

People familiar with the matter said earlier that investors think Anthropic's reasonable valuation is between $1.8 trillion and $2 trillion. The company expects its IPO to match or surpass SpaceX's IPO.

Anthropic and OpenAI are facing increasing public scrutiny following a series of high-profile hacking incidents initiated by uncontrolled agents, which has heightened concerns that Anthropic's listing may be affected.
