According to Woofun AI, Citigroup (C.US) raised its 12-month price target for Bitcoin to $113,000 based on the return of ETF funds and improvements in the macro environment.

Citing a report released by Citigroup on Wednesday, Reuters on Thursday indicated that the institutional outlook for crypto assets has improved markedly. Bitcoin's 12-month price forecast was raised sharply from $82,000 to $113,000, while Ethereum increased from $2,240 to $3,028. At current prices, this means that Bitcoin and Ethereum have room to rise by about 35% and 12%, respectively.

According to data compiled by Woofun AI, Citi expects ETFs to attract $5 billion in capital inflows over the next 12 months, mainly driven by investment advisors and brokerage institutions gradually increasing their holdings. Although the US Bitcoin Spot ETF (IBIT.US) recorded a net outflow of $5.8 billion during the year as of July 13, the trend reversed at the end of September, and the 2026 net inflow changed to $800 million.

Uncertainty at the policy level has not completely dampened market resilience. Although the US Senate vetoed the Clarity Act in the middle of last month, the SEC's subsequent rule move mitigated the negative sentiment. After the bill was vetoed on September 15, Bitcoin continued to increase by more than 10% in the same month. The more critical variable is the US Treasury's operation to repurchase long-term bonds. This move provides support to the market and help it escape the sluggish trend of falling behind other risky assets.
