Pulsar Helium Accepts Baker Hughes' Proposal for US Helium Liquefaction Plant Equipment

06:15 AM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Pulsar Helium (PLSR.L) will procure equipment for its planned commercial-scale helium liquefaction plant in Minnesota, US, from Baker Hughes (68V.F) unit Chart Energy & Chemicals. The primary helium company will pay $85.5 million for the equipment in phases tied to the achievement of certain milestones, according to a Thursday filing. An upfront payment of $5 million is payable upon signing of the deal and approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. Subject to further funding, $8.6 million will be paid on Jan. 31, 2027. The development of the plant, which will have a helium liquefaction capacity of 861 liters per hour, or 7.5 million liters annually, remains subject to financing, testing, and regulatory approvals, among other things.
