According to a memorandum of understanding, the EU Petroleum Coordination Group asked member states on Wednesday evening to confirm whether they have received contacts from the US side. Earlier, a member state said that the US had already contacted them through bilateral channels. The group consists of representatives of the European Commission and member governments, and is currently seeking opinions from member states to form a common position of the EU.
