Crude oil deliveries from Libya's largest domestic oil field fell sharply by more than half at the end of the month, and the country's crude oil exports fell to a three-month low in September. According to tanker tracking and shipping data, Libya's crude oil exports in September were 1.22 million b/d, slightly lower than the 1.23 million b/d in August. The three-month moving average of crude oil exports rose in reverse, increasing by 11,000 b/d to about 1.28 million b/d, the highest level since statistics were available in 2015. A pipeline at the Salalah oil field was shut down by an armed group. On September 21, the field's output dropped to 127,000 b/d; production returned to normal at the end of the month. Two other small oil fields also temporarily suspended production in early September. Crude oil supply to Mediterranean buyers fell from an all-time high in August.
