06:33 AM EDT, 09/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Palfinger's (PAL.VI) executive and supervisory boards decided to begin implementing a legal structure that will lead to the deconsolidation of the company's Russian entities. The move is meant to bolster a so-called ring-fencing of the Austrian crane maker's Russian businesses, according to a Wednesday release. As such, Palfinger will book an impairment loss of 135 million euros in the third quarter, which will be reported separately as a result of discontinued operations. It also expects an estimated 45 million-euro hit to net income in the coming quarters from the currency translation reserve tied to the deconsolidation.
