Mozambique's Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy said fuel supply in the capital will return to normal after some gas stations are cut off on Tuesday. The department said in a statement on Tuesday evening that Friday's public holidays caused “logistics pressure” and fuel delivery was blocked, causing some gas stations in Maputo to sell out of fuel. The statement said that the fuel tanker loading volume at Matola fuel terminal is close to the daily average, and the current inventory is sufficient to guarantee supply in the capital.
