GM announced on Wednesday that it will introduce the high-end brand Buick to the Korean market and launch the Electra E7 plug-in hybrid SUV as Buick's first model in Korea. GM Korea CEO Hector Villarreal said that Buick will be included in GM's Korean brand matrix along with Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac, and the American car company hopes to use this to enrich the supply of high-end local products. According to GM Korea, Korea will become Buick's second market outside of North America. Buick plans to launch four versions of the Electra E7 with a price of about 43 million won to 54 million won. Sales of the new car will begin in November.
