Based in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Snap-on Incorporated (SNA) is a global manufacturer and distributor of premium tools, equipment, diagnostics, repair information and software solutions. With a market capitalization of approximately $19.1 billion, the company serves professional automotive technicians, repair shops and critical industries worldwide through its portfolio of brands, manufacturing facilities and extensive franchise network.

Snap-on is set to report its Q3 earnings soon. Ahead of the release, analysts expect the company to report diluted EPS of $4.91, up 4.3% from $4.71 in the year-ago quarter. Moreover, Snap-on has surpassed Wall Street’s EPS estimates in each of the past four quarters, highlighting its consistent earnings performance.

For fiscal 2026, analysts expect the company to report EPS of $19.76, up 2.8% from $19.23 in fiscal 2025. EPS is projected to increase another 7.3% year over year to $21.21 in fiscal 2027.

SNA stock has gained 8% over the past 52 weeks, trailing both the S&P 500 Index ($SPX), which advanced 15.7%, and the State Street Industrial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLI), which climbed 10.6% over the same period.

Snap-on’s strong balance sheet has not translated into equally strong growth, weighing on its stock performance. Over the past two years, organic sales have remained sluggish, while EPS has stayed flat and returns on capital have declined, suggesting that the company’s previous profit engines are losing momentum and weighing on investor sentiment.

Analysts remain moderately bullish on SNA, with the stock carrying a consensus “Moderate Buy” rating. Among the 11 analysts covering the stock, four recommend a “Strong Buy,” one rates it a “Moderate Buy,” five suggest a “Hold”, and one recommends a “Moderate Sell.” Meanwhile, the average price target of $195.33 implies a 10.9% premium to the current share price.
