The reporter learned from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment on the 29th that with the approval of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, the third round of the sixth batch of central ecological and environmental protection inspection teams recently gave separate feedback on the inspection situation to the seven provinces of Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Guangdong, Guangxi, Tibet, Xinjiang, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. The inspection team pointed out that overall, the provinces and corps being inspected have strengthened the construction of ecological civilization and ecological environment protection, further promoted green and low-carbon development and pollution prevention efforts, and achieved new positive results in their work. At the same time, inspectors also discovered some outstanding problems: there are gaps in implementing Xi Jinping's ideals of ecological civilization in some provinces and regions, and there are still problems such as the blind launch of the “Two High” projects, illegal disposal of construction waste, and the prohibition of illegal hunting and sale of wild birds. There are outstanding problems with ecological protection and restoration. Some sensitive areas such as woodland, wetlands, rivers, and nature reserves have been invaded and destroyed. The construction of the “Three North” protective forests in some places is poor and unrealistic, and mangrove protection is still insufficient. There are still shortcomings in pollution prevention and control. There are gaps in water pollution prevention and control. Domestic sewage collection and treatment are not in place in some places, and air pollution prevention and control is still weak. Remediation of the rural habitat environment is inadequate, aquaculture pollution problems are prominent, and the “garbage encirclement” problem still occurs.
