EU officials are increasingly confident that the US will not implement a ban on diesel exports for the time being, thus preventing further shocks to supply in the region. EU Energy Commissioner Dan Jorgensen told reporters in Dublin on Tuesday that he had sent a “very clear signal” to US Energy Secretary Chris Wright that enforcing such a ban is not in anyone's interest. Jorgensen also welcomed Wright's previous statement that he did not support the adoption of this measure.
