04:40 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- UniCredit (UCG.MI), Commerzbank (CBK.F), Banco Santander (SAN.MC, BNC.L), and ING Groep (INGA.AS) initiated regulatory processes to launch their first or additional in-house exchange-traded funds, London's Financial Times reported Tuesday. The four lenders, along with other banks and investment platforms in Europe, are reportedly looking to capitalize on the growing popularity of ETFs in the region, where asset managers like BlackRock and Vanguard have already established positions. The report noted that including the four aforementioned lenders, many other European banks already have substantial exposure to ETFs.
