05:14 AM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Teams of engineers from Airbus (AIR.PA, AIR.F) and aerospace company Leonardo SpA (LDO.MI) are reportedly looking into a flaw affecting 500 of the planemaker's A321neo aircraft, Reuters wrote Monday, citing people familiar with the matter. The crews are working at Tesi, a coatings supplier and a Leonardo subcontractor, to help with recovery efforts and identify the cause of the problem, the sources said. The flaw was discovered after an Airbus technician scraped paint from a fuselage part and found gaps in the protective primer underneath, the report noted. The companies did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
