The 2026 WorldSkills Conference Shanghai Skills Development Theme Parallel Meeting was held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center today. According to the WorldSkills Innovation Center's letter of intent to cooperate, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Shanghai Municipal Government, and WorldSkills Organization will use the 48th WorldSkills Competition as an opportunity to build a WorldSkills Innovation Center to promote the long-term sustainable development of the WorldSkills Movement. The center aims to become a transformation platform for global skill standards and skill innovation, the core hub of the WorldSkills Organization's global professional operation network, an inclusive and collaborative global skills movement innovation engine, create a skill practice innovation zone, and accelerate skills development tasks such as implementing industrial services, gathering ecological resources, and operating international vocational skills training.
