The traffic volume of liquefied natural gas tankers in Qatar through the Strait of Hormuz rose to the highest level in more than two months. At least two fully loaded freighters left the strait, and at least two others sailed in the opposite direction. This is the most continuous round of growth in Qatar's LNG tanker activity since the beginning of July. After an attack on a Qatari ship in early July, the country basically suspended exports through the strait. As winter approaches, demand rises, and gas prices in Europe and Asia have soared to their highest point since 2022 in the past few weeks. Any increase in transportation volume will help ease the tight global gas supply.
