MTI Wireless Edge Pauses Share Buyback

02:44 AM EDT, 09/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- MTI Wireless Edge (MWE.L) said Thursday it suspended its proposed share repurchase program as the combined voting rights held by the Borovitz and Beer families approach a 45% threshold under Israeli corporate law. The families, which form a controlling shareholder block, currently hold a combined 44.9% of the company's voting rights. MTI said further share repurchases could push their holdings above 45%, potentially reducing protections available to other shareholders under Israeli law. The communication and radio frequency technology company currently holds 2,343,000 shares in treasury under the program, which has a maximum value of 1 million pounds sterling and was most recently extended through March 2027.
