Australian Prime Minister Albanis confirmed today that in June of this year, the “National Health Insurance Statistics Report Service Portal” managed by the Australian Government Service was unauthorised by AI agents from the US Open Artificial Intelligence Research Center. Albanis said Australia is extremely concerned and disappointed because OpenAI “took too long to make this matter public” and the notification method itself was “unacceptable” — according to reports, OpenAI only sent an email notification to the public email address of an Australian government department on September 10, informing the Australian government of the invasion. Albanis announced the establishment of an investigation team in response to this incident to confirm whether OpenAI will face charges.
