On September 23, AstraZeneca announced that it will join hands with UNICEF and 60 NGOs to launch a new five-year “Adolescent Health Plan” project. By 2030, the cumulative investment is expected to exceed $100 million. The program was launched in 2010. Over the past 15 years, the “Adolescent Health Program” has directly benefited 23 million young people in more than 60 countries around the world, helped train more than 1 million people, and supported youth advocates to actively promote the improvement of 29 laws and policies. AstraZeneca's global “Adolescent Health Program” is dedicated to supporting youth in under-resourced communities to prevent non-communicable diseases and promote healthier environments and policies to promote shared health. In the next phase, the project plans to cover an additional 10 million young people by 2030, train 800,000 youth advocates, and help promote the formulation or improvement of 17 public policies around the world.
