The Zhitong Finance App learned that basic semiconductors (09971) rose by more than 8%. As of press release, it had risen 7.91% to HK$43.38, with a turnover of HK$7.9383 million.

According to news, Basic Semiconductors achieved revenue of 121 million yuan in the first half of this year, an increase of 15.5% over the previous year. Gross margin improved significantly by 31.6 percentage points, achieving the milestone of positive gross margin. During the period, industrial grade silicon carbide power modules increased 2825.1% year over year; SiC MOSFET revenue increased 582.3% year over year. This meant that revenue from industrial modules and SiC MOSFETs increased by about 876% year over year; their share of total revenue rapidly increased from about 3.6% to 30.5%.

It is worth mentioning that the company has been working intensively in the second half of the year. In mid-July, Basic Semiconductor announced a price increase of no more than 25% for some products starting in the third quarter; in late July, it was announced that it plans to expand its silicon carbide module packaging base in Shenzhen; in early August, Basic Semiconductors reached a strategic cooperation with leading wafer foundry Leihan Technology to accelerate the development and mass production of 8-inch silicon carbide wafers and jointly promote the launch of a new process platform; reached a strategic cooperation with Premium Choice to become the first company in silicon carbide companies to lay out a smart circuit.
