Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan plans to adopt a new national plan aimed at developing the mining and metallurgical industries, increase aluminum production to 100,000 tons per year by the end of 2030, and build multiple factories. Aliyev said at an industry development conference held on Tuesday that the country has received plans from foreign partners to develop aluminum production, but these plans have not been realized. Instead, Azerbaijan will seek to develop this industry independently and adopt mechanisms that can bring benefits to the domestic economy.
