Shanghai Customs announced on September 22 that in the first eight months of this year, the Yangtze River Delta region exported four types of robots worth 16 billion yuan, including surgical robots, intelligent bionic robots, cleaning robots, and industrial robots, a sharp increase of 16 billion yuan over the same period last year. Robots are a microcosm of the rapid growth of exports from the Yangtze River Delta. Customs statistics show that in the first eight months, the Yangtze River Delta exported 5.35 trillion yuan of mechanical and electrical products, accounting for 64.2% of the total exports of the Yangtze River Delta during the same period, an increase of 26.6% over the previous year. Among them, integrated circuit exports amounted to 730.44 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1 times; ship exports amounted to 181.37 billion yuan, an increase of 30.8%; automobile exports amounted to 434.49 billion yuan, an increase of 66.8%; and exports of high-end equipment amounted to 492.64 billion yuan, an increase of 22%.
