Belarusian President Lukashenko said on the 21st that Belarus is currently unable to supply large quantities of potash to the US. On the same day, there was news from the US side that the US is promoting an agreement to purchase potash fertilizer on a “large scale” from Belarus. The presidential palace of Belarus said that during a meeting with officials of the State Customs Committee on the same day, Lukashenko said that in 2026 all of the country's potash fertilizer had been “pre-ordered” and “even if they wanted to supply it to the Western market, there was no inventory.”
