On September 22, China's first cross-sea urban railway, the Ningbo-Xiangshan Railway, was opened to traffic. The Ningxiang Line runs from Xiaoyangjiang Station in Yinzhou District of Ningbo City in the north to Damuwan Station in Xiangshan County in the south. It has a total length of 61.45 kilometers. It has a total length of 10 stations. It uses 4 groups of urban A trains, with a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour. After the opening and operation of the line, the Xiangshan Peninsula ended its history of not being connected to rail transit. The train sped past the Xiangshan Port Cross-Sea Bridge, opening up a fast commuting channel between the central city of Ningbo and the Xiangshan Peninsula, marking the official entry of Ningbo and Xiang into a half-hour traffic circle, injecting new momentum into the collaborative development of the southern region of the Ningbo metropolitan area.
