Al Jazeera quoted SANA sources as saying that the bombing occurred at a military facility near a town south of Aleppo City, the capital of Aleppo province in northern Syria, and the cause of the explosion is still unclear. The governor of Aleppo province urged residents not to leave their homes for a while, and said “hospitals, ambulances, and emergency rescue teams are on full alert.” The relevant department in Aleppo said that the road leading to the explosion site was closed to “ensure the safety of civilians.”
