The Zhitong Finance App learned that Jingtai Holdings (02228) rose more than 7%, and the stock price surged more than 16% on the last trading day. As of press release, it rose 7.61% to HK$8.63, with a turnover of HK$922 million.

According to the news, Jingtai Holdings announced that the company's board of directors learned that Dr. Wen Shuhao, chairman of the board of directors, executive director and co-founder of the company, plans to increase the company's common shares in the open market with its own capital by the end of October 2026, based on confidence in the Group's future development prospects and recognition of the company's long-term investment value. According to the shareholding increase plan, the total cost of Dr. Wen's proposed additional shareholding will not exceed HK$32 million.

It is worth mentioning that Jingtai Technology recently announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary LCC Technologies has reached a drug discovery cooperation agreement with Stanford University. The two sides will combine Stanford University's expertise in disease biology research with LCC's small molecule drug discovery platform to jointly evaluate new biological discoveries and explore their potential for further development as small molecule therapeutics. Under the agreement, LCC will work with Stanford University researchers to advance promising research projects to accelerate relevant discoveries to the drug development stage.
