With the promotion of multinational companies' centralized local and foreign currency cross-border capital operations to the whole country, HSBC Bank Limited announced today that it has successfully launched a local and foreign currency cross-border fund pool business for two multinational companies, thus becoming the first batch of foreign banks to participate after the nationwide promotion of this business. According to a notice recently issued jointly by the People's Bank of China and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, the pilot policy for centralized operation of multinational companies' local and foreign currency cross-border funds was officially extended from the two pilot regions of Beijing and Guangdong to the whole country starting September 14. This move will help more eligible multinational enterprise groups break down capital barriers, achieve optimal allocation of global resources, and further release the policy dividends of cross-border capital flows.
