Ten departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission recently jointly issued the “Fifteenth Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry”. The “Plan” proposes to expand the scale of the accurate diagnosis industry. The focus is on developing technologies such as high-throughput genetic sequencing, microfluidic control, and highly sensitive biological testing, promoting integration and upgrading in vitro diagnosis, medical imaging, pathological diagnosis, molecular diagnosis, and multiomics testing, and accelerating the industrialization of innovative diagnostic products. Improve the quality control, clinical evaluation and standard system for accurate diagnostic products. Promote medical institutions that are in a position to do so to develop accurate diagnosis centers, strengthen cooperation with relevant enterprises, promote the interconnection and sharing of diagnosis and treatment data, accelerate the deep integration of accurate diagnosis technology with digital health and artificial intelligence, and raise the level of accurate diagnosis of rare diseases, tumors, and genetic diseases.
