South Korea's “Chosun Ilbo” quoted Doosan Group sources as reporting that Doosan plans to invest about 970 billion won to expand the production capacity of copper-clad plates used in AI chips. Doosan plans to invest 420 billion won in Korea to expand the production line for copper-clad panels for optical modules. In addition, it will invest 550 billion won to build a new copper-clad plate factory in China. The products will target AI accelerators and network switches. Starting in 2028, Doosan plans to increase production with additional production capacity in Korea and China. Nvidia has been using Doosan's copper-clad plate products since 2024; sales in this business increased 86% year over year to 1.9 trillion won last year.
