Zhitong Finance App News, Jingtai Holdings (02228) announced that LCC Technologies Ltd. (LCC Technologies), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, and the Stanford University Board of Governors have signed a drug discovery cooperation agreement. The collaboration combines Stanford University's disease biology research with LCC Technologies' automated and AI-driven small molecule drug discovery platform to accelerate and drive the development of new drugs.

According to the collaboration, new biological insights from Stanford University's disease biology research will use LCC Technologies' proprietary PACE™ drug discovery platform to assess its potential for development as small molecule therapeutics. PACE™ combines fragment-based drug discovery, AI-driven computational design, automated synthesis, and iterative design-synthesis-test-analysis (DMTA) cycles.

Cooperation is not limited to specific disease areas. Under the collaboration, leading researchers at Stanford University will have the opportunity to present projects to the Joint Steering Committee formed by Stanford University and LCC Technologies based on their research. The steering committee will select the projects proposed based on scientific value, feasibility and potential treatment impact assessments, and select the most promising projects for further development to advance to clinical evaluation and subsequent stages.

The Board believes that the collaboration strengthens the Group's position in the field of AI+ automation-driven drug discovery and provides the Group with an opportunity to participate in early collaborative projects through LCC Technologies to transform promising biological insights into potential small molecule therapies.
