10:04 AM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Infineon Technologies (IFX.F) signed a definitive agreement to sell its Nor Flash and F-Ram businesses to Taiwanese semiconductor memory systems supplier Winbond Electronics. The transaction is valued at $1.12 billion on a cash- and debt-free basis and includes the German semiconductor company's Nor Flash memory and F-Ram products for the automotive, industrial, and infrastructure sectors, according to a Wednesday release. Infineon will retain its specialty memory portfolio, including Sram, Hyperram, nvSram and Sonos-based solutions. The divestment supports Infineon's strategy to focus its portfolio and capital on its core growth businesses. Completion is expected in the second half of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals.
