The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Lee Ka-chiu, announced the “First Five-Year Plan for the Economic and Social Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region” and immediately published the “Chief Executive's 2026 Policy Address”. Li Jiachao proposed in the “Policy Address” that the Special Administrative Region will make every effort to prepare for the general election of the Election Commission subsector to be held on November 22 this year, as well as the Chief Executive election and the district council general election to be held next year to ensure that the elections are conducted in a fair, just, honest, safe and orderly manner.
