On September 13, the first unit of the Xinjiang Dashixia Water Conservancy Hub Project invested and built by China Energy Construction Gezhouba Group successfully passed 72-hour trial operation and was officially put into production for power generation. As one of the 172 major water conservancy projects determined by the State Council, the Xinjiang Dashixia Water Conservancy Hub Project set a new world record for concrete-faced gravel dams with a maximum dam height of 247 meters. The power station is equipped with 3 mixed-flow hydroturbine generator sets with a stand-alone capacity of 250,000 kilowatts, with a total installed capacity of 750,000 kilowatts.
