During the 63rd session of the UN Human Rights Council, the Chinese Permanent Mission in Geneva and the United Nations Office at Geneva jointly organized an exhibition on the theme “Accessibility for All” at the Palais des Nations in Geneva on the 15th. Jia Guide, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other international organizations in Switzerland, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Turk, Director of the United Nations Library and Archives in Geneva, Walla Kaule, Party Secretary of the Beijing Disabled Persons' Federation, and the Permanent Representatives of Cameroon, Ethiopia, Mexico and other countries delivered speeches. More than 300 people attended, including permanent representatives from various countries, heads of international organizations, and representatives of Chinese and foreign media. Jia Guide said that strengthening the construction of barrier-free environments is an important manifestation of human rights protection. China implements global governance initiatives and actively promotes the concept of “barrier-free for all” on the United Nations platform. On the occasion of the third anniversary of the implementation of the “Barrier-free Environment Construction Law of the People's Republic of China”, China will once again sponsor the barrier-free resolution at this session to provide new ideas and inject new impetus into barrier-free construction.
