The Zhejiang Provincial Construction Department and 11 other departments recently jointly issued the “Guiding Opinions on Further Strengthening Urban Water Supply Safety”. The “Guiding Opinions” suggest that by 2028, full coverage of water source risk assessments, full coverage of hidden facility hazards investigation, and full coverage of intelligent water intake monitoring will be achieved; by 2030, an urban water supply safety and security system integrating water source safety and security assurance, reliable facility operation, dynamic risk monitoring, and efficient operation and maintenance will be fully established.
