Aliko Scientific Establishes Molecular Diagnostics Unit in Brazil

05:32 AM EDT, 09/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Aliko Scientific (ALIKO.PA) formed a wholly owned Brazilian subsidiary, Probantes, to develop molecular diagnostic products and support the group's expansion across South America. Probantes, based in Anápolis, Goiás, will focus on molecular probes and fluorescence in situ hybridization, or FISH, diagnostic products and is expected to be fully established by the end of October, according to a Tuesday release. The life sciences group also signed a strategic industrial cooperation agreement with Brazilian life sciences company Biodetecta to develop FISH probes. Under the deal, Probantes will fund the development program and retain ownership of the products and related intellectual property and regulatory rights. Biodetecta will hold commercialization rights in Brazil, while Probantes and Aliko Scientific will retain exclusive distribution and commercialization rights outside the country.
