Among state-owned refining and refined oil sales companies, Hindustan oil saw the biggest drop of 3.6%; Bharat oil fell 2.3%, then the decline narrowed; and its larger peers, Indian Petroleum and Reliance Industries, both fell by more than 1%. In terms of paint companies, Asian Coatings saw the biggest decline of 2.2%, while India's Berger Coatings fell 1.4%; the tire sector also weakened, with Apollo Tire falling 2.3%, Balkrishna Tire falling 1.7%, and Seat Tire falling 1.6%.
