Korean Air, South Korea's largest airline, announced on Friday that starting next week, it will launch a free Wi-Fi service supported by Starlink on select flights. The free service will be launched on 4 modified wide-body airliners next Tuesday, including 3 Airbus A350-900 aircraft and 1 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. These airliners will operate medium- and long-haul routes to America, Europe, and Southeast Asia, as well as cover some key short-haul routes. Korean Air said it plans to gradually expand the Starlink network across all operating fleets by the end of 2027. Asiana Airlines, which will soon be incorporated into Korean Air, will also launch free Wi-Fi supported by Starlink on some flights.
