12:19 AM EDT, 09/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eli Lilly (LLY.SW, LLY.F) plans to direct some of the revenue from its GLP-1 weight-loss and diabetes drugs toward women's health research, Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter. The pharmaceutical giant is accelerating research into underfunded and understudied areas of women's health, including bone health, pregnancy-related disorders, and endometriosis, according to the report. Lilly has hired a reproductive medicine expert, started recruiting scientists focused on osteoporosis and preeclampsia, and expanded some executives' roles to include women's health, the report said. Eli Lilly did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
