The Zhitong Finance App learned that the Hong Kong Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Chen Meibao, said that since June last year, the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department has approved more than 140 applications for the Low Altitude Economy Supervision Sandbox. She revealed that the authorities are redoubling their efforts to launch “Regulatory Sandbox X” to deal with more advanced and complex application scenarios.

Chen Meibao pointed out that Hong Kong is still a long way from international standardization, but I believe it has already embarked on a relevant path. She hopes that society will actually feel that low-altitude economic applications have entered the normalization stage and will no longer stop at the level of testing and testing.

The Hong Kong Government will release the Policy Address and the first five-year plan next week. Chen Meibao believes that the five-year plan is very important for low-altitude economic development and plays a decisive role. She also mentioned that the Hong Kong government signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazakhstan on low-altitude economic development at the “Belt and Road Summit” yesterday. The two sides will strengthen cooperation in standardization, talent exchange, and experience sharing.
