The 2026 China International Trade in Services Fair will be held in Beijing from September 9 to 13. According to the “15th Five-Year Plan” Service Consumption Frontier Trend Outlook released by KPMG at the trade fair, the county area is the cornerstone market for consumption in China, and it is also the most promising incremental space for service consumption expansion. Service quality upgrades in the county area are being carried out along three core directions: first, productive services empower the upgrading of the county industry, such as sharing intelligent manufacturing factories and industrial Internet platforms to help small and medium-sized enterprises reduce costs and improve quality; second, upgrading the quality of public services, and improving the level of public services in the county through medical community construction and group schools; third, upgrading the quality of life services, cultural tourism and leisure services have become highlights. “Reverse tourism” and “small city fever” have led the consumption share of high-star hotels in the county to overtake first-tier cities for the first time.
