Compared with the second quarter of 2026 and the second quarter of 2025, the business revenue index for insurance (+60.7%), import and export trade (+37.7%), finance (excluding banks) (+29.1%), banking (+26.2%), transportation (+16.5%), and wholesale (+15.4%) all recorded double-digit increases. Meanwhile, the business revenue index for the warehouse and warehousing industry declined by 4.1% during the same period.

According to the service sector analysis, the business revenue index for the computer and information technology services sector increased by 91.8% year on year, while the business revenue index for the travel, conference and exhibition services sector also increased by 3.9% year on year.

Compared with the second quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2026, about half of the major service industries recorded varying degrees of increase in seasonally adjusted business revenue (in terms of value). Among them, the financial sector (excluding banking) (+12.2%) and the transportation industry (+10.7%) business revenue indices both recorded double-digit increases. Meanwhile, the courier industry's business revenue index fell 7.8% during the same period.

According to the service sector analysis, compared with the second quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2026, the seasonally adjusted business revenue index for the computer and information technology services sector increased by 7.5%, while the seasonally adjusted business revenue index for the travel, conference and exhibition services sector decreased by 6.5%.

A government spokesman said that in the second quarter of 2026, the business revenue of almost all service industries increased compared to the same period last year. Among them, the insurance industry, import and export trade, financial industry (excluding banks), banking and wholesale industries continued to record double-digit growth, while business revenue growth in the transportation industry also accelerated significantly. Meanwhile, business performance in the computer and IT services sector remained strong, with strong support from the global technology upward cycle, and earnings continued to rise.

Looking ahead, the overall business in the service sector should continue to grow as the local economy continues to expand. However, there are still uncertainties and unfavorable factors in the surrounding environment. The Government will continue to closely monitor the potential impact of peripheral changes on the service sector.
