On September 10, the Independent Commission Against Corruption of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region announced that a former vice president of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited was sued yesterday, accusing him of not complying with a notice issued by the ICAC in accordance with a court order issued by the ICAC under the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance to submit a statutory declaration regarding his personal property and other information in an ongoing corruption investigation. Tong Po-hang, 39, former vice president of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, is charged with one count of not complying with a notice issued under section 14 of the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance, in violation of section 14 of the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance. He has been granted bail and will plead in the Eastern Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
