The first two-day International Space Summit opened on the 9th in Paris, France. Leaders from many countries, government officials, representatives of international organizations, and people from space agencies and the business community attended the conference to discuss topics related to technology, economy, and governance in the context of the rapid development of the space industry. The summit was co-hosted by France and Germany. According to the French government website, the goal of the summit is to facilitate international dialogue on issues and challenges facing the space industry. Delegations from nearly 120 countries and regions were invited to attend the conference. According to the official schedule, the summit will mainly focus on three topics: one is space science and technology and the international path of exploration; the second is the global space economy; and the third is security and governance, which calls for ensuring space security through dialogue, defense, and partnership. Also, according to several French media quoting the US “Politician”, American space companies such as Space Exploration Technology and Blue Origin have cancelled the summit due to pressure from the US government. Summit ambassador and French astronaut Thomas Pesquet told the French media about this that the space industry has been interfered with geopolitically.
