CBRE appoints head of office leasing division in Hong Kong Island and Kowloon

The Zhitong Finance App learned that today (September 9), CBRE announced the appointment of Darren Nugent as Managing Director and Head of CBRE Hong Kong's Hong Kong Island Office Leasing Division, and the appointment of Chen Zhenshan as Managing Director and Head of CBRE's Hong Kong Kowloon Office Leasing Division. The two appointments will take effect from January 4, 2027. This appointment reflects CBRE's continued commitment to strengthening its office leasing platform and providing market-leading strategic consulting services to tenants, developers and landlords in all regions of Hong Kong. The two supervisors will report directly to Cathy Fung, Chief Operating Officer of CBRE Hong Kong Advisory Services.

After working in Australia for five years, Darren will return to Hong Kong to take up his new job. He is currently Head of Leasing (Pacific) at CBRE, where he is responsible for leading office, industrial and logistics, retail operations, and advisory services teams. In this role, he focuses on driving strategic growth, deepening customer relationships, improving operational efficiency, and providing integrated real estate solutions across regions for corporate tenants.

After graduation, Chen Zhenshan joined CBRE as a graduate trainee. With his professional experience over the years, he has become a trusted expert in the field of corporate real estate consulting, focusing on providing multinational enterprises with corporate real estate strategies, property portfolio optimization, and professional consulting services for large-scale and complex rental transactions in Kowloon and the New Territories. Chen Zhenshan is widely recognized by the industry for his outstanding market insight, successful facilitation of many representative leasing transactions, and deep experience in lease restructuring, rent reviews, and lease return negotiations. He knows the office market in Kowloon and has established long-term and stable partnerships with major owners in the district.
